Super cute and large outdoor patio. Every night is something different from a rave to tango lessons so be prepared. Order the Camembert with Chutney. It's unlike anything I've ever tasted.
Big plates and very tasty food! Nice crowd and there's a big terrace if you mind people dancing while you eat. Try the red wine Spatburgunden if you like sweet wine! Loved our experience there!
Great food, cheerful atmosphere. The service was slow, most likely because the house was very full. The fresh wheat beer was good. Oldies goldies on the dance floor.
Try the Schnitzel- it's awesome. For those who care about menu variety, the menu has a reduced number of meals in the back yard, so make sure you sit in the front area of the Biergarten.
Very special bar/restaurant in a former ballhouse. There are different dance lessons and shows every night (Salsa on Monday, Tango on Tuesday and Swing on Wednesday). Really cool place!
The pizza was excellent, as was the atmosphere. Come in the early evening and linger in the garden, then move inside to watch whatever danceperformance they have scheduled.
An iconic place for Berlin. The terrace is charming during summers while at winter time, one can spend hours just watching people dancing inside. Food is decent:German kitchen mainly with a pizza menu
Beautiful ballhaus, sitting in the garden is lovely. However i was underwhelmed with their pizza. Best to eat somewhere else and have drinks here and watch the people dance!
If you can get to see the upstairs dance hall with the mirrors (some of which have WWII bullet holes), it is quite a sight. Decent Italian food, good for groups.
Probably a great place to tango... Not so enticing during the day... The garden could do with a bit of nurturing. It probably looks completely different at night! Would definitely go!
Wonderful location! Coming after 8pm means paying 7€ entry. Danceclasses are nice, food alright, drinks fairly priced but location is the main selling point.
old fashioned place to go dancing, with good pizza & typical german boulettes. It´s funny to watch the incredible mix of young hipsters and aging regulars, who somehow mesh perfectly. Old world charm Read more
You can take different ballroom lessons here every day of the week ! If you rather enjoy the view, try a typical German schnitzel while watching the tango dancers command the dance floor.
Its restaurant, the Clärchens, also known as ‘Gypsy’, takes you back in time: you can enjoy live gypsy or classical music surrounded by vintage décor...
I am displeased by the attitude of the waiters and barkeepers. The feeling of this nice place would be significantly improved if they considered being polite in their interactions with the customers
Restaurant /dance venue serving traditional berlin food. Great ambience. Tip: check out the ballroom upstairs which hasnt been touched since the 2nd world war.
