I only had a couple hours to see Sydney. I took the ferry to Manly, walked around, had lunch, checked out a great pub, and returned all in about 3-4 hours, for under $60 total. Great!!
Take the lifts at the east end near Wharf 2, where you can go up to the Cahill Walk and enjoy the most spectacular view of the Quay, HarborBridge and surrounds. Specially good at sunset.
Getting a ferry and back to the zoo gives you great views of the bridge and the opera house, and make sure you get the zoo and ferry tickets combined for a good discount
Main ferry terminal close to Sydney CBD. The ferry to Manly is a very scenic ride and leaves every half an hour. Great photo opportunity of the harbour bridge and opera house.
Walk from the Opera House all the way around to under the HarbourBridge. It is a lovely walk and there are always great street performers on the way. You don’t have to tip, but it is polite to do so!
Don't even think about paying for a cruise of the harbour, jump on a ferry for a tenth of the price and get out onto this beautiful harbour. The Mosman Bay or RoseBay services are great!
The heart of Sydney Harbour and the key that unlocks journeys to near by attractions such as Luna Park, Manly, Watson’s Bay and more. Use your Opal card and jump aboard a ferry. Where will you go?
If you are in Sydney for a week you might want to grab a yellow multi ticket 1. It'll get you Manly, Bondi, the zoo and all other important places. Also busses are included. Costs 44 $
Always on time a great combination of ferries and jetcats ...maps for all runs available with clear route signage and timetables...i love just grabbing lunch and having it on the water
