Trendy indulgent Italian food. Colourful design, walls strewn with alcohol bottles. Every dish we tried was delicious - especially french toast, bufalapizza, truffle pasta, tiramisu. Big venue
Typical Big Mama setting: great pizza and pasta (supposedly with Sicilian twist), scandalous waiting line, extravagant decoration, and in the end expensive but generous portions.
I haven’t seen a restaurant as beautiful as this. Stunning! No reservations, but make sure you go 2 hours ahead of your intended time. Delicious food and do not skip the dessert! 🥰
Excellent pizzas with light and fluffy dough, heavenly truffe pasta. Beautiful decor and friendly service. Long queue but the actual wait is not too long.
Good, but not amazing. Portions are big so worth sharing and checking with your server if you’ve over/under ordered. Make sure you get the lemon pie and a branca menta for dessert.
If the carpaccio had been sliced a bit thinner, it could have been much more delicious. The trufflemushroom pasta was very well done, the portions were quite large, and the wine was very delicious.
Mafaldine al Tartufo 10/10. Legalise Mushroom 10/10. Burrata alla Marinara 7/10. Overall i liked so much and i’d like to come again. The staff are kind and friendly ♥️
Amazing atmosphere and incredible food. Try the virgin cocktail that comes in a mermaid tail shaped mug. The pasta had a great bite to it and the pizza had a deliciois fresh tomato sauce.
Loved the place ! It was worth the wait for 2 weeks to find reservations. Food is ok (pizza, pasta...etc) but dessert was outstanding! Go for the banofee 😍
Great and tasty dishes, proper quantities, friendly service and great space. Glass of wine serving could've been a bit more. Overall, highly recommended.
Great Italian restaurant in central London. Outstanding interior design. You have to try their carbonara, pumpkin and truffle pizzas and tiramisu. Book in advance as it’s really hard to find a table.
I’ve now tried all the big mammas in London and once again, the venue is gorgeous but the food is pretty average. Nothing mind blowing. I would say the decor and ambiance is worth a visit though
You’ll be amazed by the walls lined with 20.000+ spirits bottles and religious knick-knacks. Mind the cheeky view between the gents’ and ladies’ loos and enjoy the 50s-60s retro songs.
They serve only spaghettipasta, no penne pasta. I personally did not like the Big Mamma Classic Carpaccio dish, service is great and you can pay your bill by scanning the code in the end
The atmosphere was lovely and the friendly staff made our experience enjoyable. We had vealpasta and pizza margherita . The pasta was super delicious but the pizza was ok.
Lovely atmosphere but below the average Italian food. I had veal scaloppine and they were on the skewers and burnt.. burata although looks amazing, it’s really burata but more of a mozzarella. I would
The starters where much better than mains. Worst spaghetti I have ever tried at a restaurant(like mold). The pizza was fine but with too much oil. Great atmosphere though.
There are teething problems; coffee was watery, food came out at different times, staff were new. But its beautifully done so if the kinks are sorted, it’ll be a great place for the summer.
