Great beach, despite it's historic fame, sees a lot of families on weekends. Getting to the beach carrying anything - like a surfboard -may qualify as an Olympic event. But so worth it!
Love the beach, bring water and tennisshoes for the climb. By the cliff side is very calm and quiet, perfect to relax and lie down naked and enjoy the sun. Water is too cold, even in summer days.
everything is great ! I go here every weekend but on occasion you get the people who disrespect the beach but they are easily avoidable. I recommend digging a big hole and setting up in style 👌🏽
Premium San Diego Countybeach break. Almost never closes out, walk down from the Gliderport or the secret back way (UCSD grads will know), plan for a calf burn on the way back up...!
Lots of naked men and creepers but still my favorite beach. Go with a group if you don't want a naked man to come hit on you with his dick waving in the breeze.
Wonderful beach! 2 sides facing the ocean the extreme right is mainly for same sex to the left is more if the straight side. There are 2 ways down left of gliders has steps right doesn't but more fun.
Great place to watch the sunset, or have a picnic. Head down torrey pines scenic dr. when you get to the end go to the right off road. Drive as far as you can and park.
Justin McLachlan, author of the upcoming novel Time Up, here. If you can handle the hike down (and up) this is San Diego's most scenic—and unofficially clothing optional—beaches.
