Ballston-MU Metro Station

Learn which Metrorail car and door to stand near to reduce walking time when you leave the station.

Not every ride has to be round trip. Metro allows bikes on the trains on weekends, and on weekdays except during rush hour (7-10am and 4-7pm).

If going to farragut west & you want to exit @ the 18th & I get on the train in front of the lottery sign. It opens @ the escalator During non rush hour its the last door of the last car.

The ART 51 bus will take you to Virginia Hospital Center.

During normal operations, the doors open on the RIGHT at this station.

Great place to pick up the ART or Metro buses.

When it snows real bad (over 8 inches), this is as far as the orange line will go.

When headed towards New Carrollton the middle doors on the second car stop right in front of the Up escalator.

The last cart of the train going to Vienna stops in front of the escalators

the vendors are vicious! & cheap

Avoid Metro at all costs. It's a joke. DC is one city I'd rather sit in traffic over stuck on a banked train without working HVAC that I've paid half-my salary too in fares.

Take the 23a bus to Tysons Corner.
