Cochon Butcher isn't just a fantastic butcher shop and deli hiding behind the famed Cochon - it's home to crazy good small plates, a decent bar, and the best sandwiches in town. [Eater 38 Member]
Saddle up to one of the shop's high-top tables and order one of Link's killer sandwiches (the house muffaletta and cold roast beef are recommended) and take a pound of andouillesausage to-go. Read more
Everything is delicious. The coppa steak special is maybe the best sandwich I've ever had. Mac & cheese is delicious. Duckpastramisliders are so smokey and flavorful.
Cochon Butcher is a wonderland for meat-lovers, the Willy Wonka Factory of delicious deli-meats, and for in our opinion, the Cold Roast Beef sandwich is the golden-ticket.
Mac and cheese is very good. Cuban,BBQ pork, and Le Pig Mac top sandwiches to try. Everyone is super friendly. Also don't be shy to ask to try their sausage. They would gladly let you sample it.
Incredible house cured meats and sandwiches from Donald Link. Try the smoked pastrami by the pound. Eat the muffuletta, BBQ pork sandwich, and pretty much anything else that catches your way.
It was the first time for our group of four. We picked different items and shared. Everything was delicious. Don’t be afraid to try anything. It was awesome! We will be back for more!
Super cool place, with amazing burgers, nice beer selection, very good set up and bar. Butcher as well, and possible to buy tshirts, hats and bags. Prices are great. Order your food first, then enjoy.
This is another very legit version of boudin. It's a little murky because of the seasoning, which works perfectly with the creole mustard for dipping and the chilis on the side to make it all pop. Read more
EVERYTHING!!! We had BBQ Pork sandwich and it was amazing! We had the Cajun Pork dog and it was amazing as well!!! Would definitely come back next time I'm in New Orleans...
A meat-lover's paradise. Love everything at this place, but don't miss the Fried Alligator, Fried Boudin, Rabbit & Dumplings, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. Read about it on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
This place is magic. There is no wrong option on the menu. Seriously order anything. Best old fashioned I had in New Orleans. They make their own cherries too.
Overall phenomenal. Get the cochon for sure, it's like a pulled porkhamburger patty which has been pan fried. Great whiskey selection as well, which isn't so filling, so you can eat more.
Though some muffulettas are served cold, at Cochon Butcher the bread is toasted and the meats are warm, held together with a generous spread of house-made, slightly briny and brightolive salad. Read more
Le Pig Mac, Muffaletta, Cajun Dog, Smoked Turkey, PimentoSliders, Moroccan Spiced Lamb, and BrisketSliders are all amazing. I suspect even more is, but these are what I've tried. A must visit.
Had the pork belly sandwich. Really good, the meat was tender and the sandwich was flavorful. Wish it was a little bit bigger and had a different type of bread. The bread can get soggy fast
Excellent sandwiches & other food. If you go to the WWII Museum, this is a good place to break for a bite to eat. And if you have more exhibits to see, you can pop right back into the museum after.
Wow, great Deli in the warehouse district. A friend recommended the place and it did not disappoint. Friendly and quick service, fantastic delicious food. Must try.
A James Beard Award winning restaurant run by two James Beard Award winning chefs, there’s no surprise Cochon is among the best restaurants in town. [Eater 38 Member]
I really recommend the smoked turkey sandwich. Bought 1lb smoked turkey(delicious), a package of 4 boudin sausages(VERY hot) plus a slice of lemon cheesecake(really really good)
The best meal I had in New Orleans, and it was a simple sandwich. Pork belly on toasted white bread is transcendent. Service was spectacular. Go here. Don't fear the lines - they move quickly.
One of everything please! The smoked ham hock was amazing. One of the best restaurants in NoLa.... but the service was sub-par....bordering on plain old frosty.
Get the sweet and spicybrisketsliders, Brussel Sprouts, homemade chips and the must have libation, the Honey Boo Boo. Just delicious! Great ambiance and worth coming out to. Loved it
Delicious custom cured and smoked meats and Southern comforts. Had the muffaletta, mac and cheese, brussels and boudin and everything was tasty and fresh. Definitely need to come back and try more!
We had the Muffaletta and the Moroccan Spiced Lamb. They were both great! The Muffaletta was enough to share. Ordered a side of potatoes salad and loved it.
Links casual venture situated next Cochon has a poo culture atmosphere highlight by uniquely named drinks and butcher shop favorites with a twist. Try Rock'n Rye and the Sweet PotatoJalapeño sauce
The casual sibling of Cochon shines with takeaway items, incredible sandwiches, decadent desserts, unique regional sodas, beers, and cocktails. Love the brussels sprouts! Quick, attentive service.
Calling itself a "butcher shop and swine bar," they serve the best muffuletta in town and some damn good boudin. Everything else is good, too. [Eater 38 Member]
Can't miss menu items: the fried rabbitlivers with pepper jelly and mint and the okra. If you need a break from booze, great fresh lemonade and Abitaroot beer on tap.
Muffuletta, Cajun Dog, coleslaw and brussels sprouts were spot on. Be sure to try the sweet potatohabanerohot sauce if you need an extra kick on your tasty sandwich. Great lunch spot in New Orleans
NoLa must for authentic Southern eats & soul food classics. Belly up to the bar for well-mixed cocktails, try the ribs w/ pickledwatermelon & don't miss the Louisiana Cochon. You can thank me later.
It gets pretty busy here but worth the wait. It's owned and run by the next door restaurant, Cochin, where Butcher is the more casual restaurant. You can eat in or order to go. Everything is delicious
Just unbelievably good. All homemade, such friendly staff, and yummy food. I sat in between two locals at the bar, one of whom eats there almost every day. Definitely legit!
This place is awesome. Tried the Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, cubano, muffuletta, and pork belly sandwich. All were great. Skip the muffuletta unless you love 'em. Other options are better.
From Frommer's, one of our expert reviewers: "All hail Cochon chef Stephen Stryjewski ... We do believe he fires on porcine synapses, as he has an effortless way with all things pork." -On TripExpert Read more
This NOLA hot spot makes sandwiches with a Cajun slant. Order the Muffaletta, which is sliced capicola, mortadella, salami and provolone on a fluffy sesame seedbun. Read more
Muffaletta wich. Takeoutlunch joint with an extensive sandwich menu. Around the corner from the famed Cochon, Cochon Butcher is a beer/wine bar and meat market combination in the Warehouse District.
I had the ryals pit smoked ham sandwich with thin onion rings and a light mayo based sauce. My wife had the pull pork sliders and said she could eat teM all day long! Love their sweet potatohot sauce
When it comes to the quirky there's no place that's more fun than Cochon Butcher. With high quality meats from the upscale restaurant next door & names like Le Pig Mac, you'll be full and entertained.
Looking for a quick dinner, off the French Quarter and walked into this place. One of the best decisions I've had in NOLA. Truly delicious meal and a great spot to just sit and enjoy.
favorite restaurant in new orleans. roasted oysters, rabbit & dumplings, fried alligator. great bar scene...all the meat courses are tasty but the vegetables & sides are highly underrated. so good
My heart weeps when I realize I live 1k+ miles away from here. At Cochon: cheeks, fire roasted oysters, and the perfect oysterbacon sandwich. Butcher is HIP- bacon melt was the stuff of dreams.
