The sixth floor edit bays are better to use than the third floor ones. You won't have professors kicking you out so their class can use them. Also, you can check out the brand new FSN Suns Studio!

When using Final Cut Pro (and you will as a student here), name the folder you plan to keep all your files in "Video." This will keep you from having to reset the scratch disks each time you open FCP.
If you need to edit video and the 6th-floor edit bays are full, the "radio ranch" on the 3rd floor is full of edit bays that often aren't in use (so long as there isn't a class going on).
Must See Mondays are every Monday night in the 2nd floor Forum where speakers from all over come and present about journalism and media. Some professors give extra credit for attending, so go! Read more

The library on the second floor is a great place to study because it's quiet, there's also some great reading materials available there like Bloomberg Businessweek.

There is a police desk on the 1st floor & if you have any problems, you can talk to them. The building is beautiful & it is spacious. I went to this school for several of my classes in the past.

During Cronkite Night at the Movies the school shows a journalism-related movie followed by a discussion. They also have one night to showcase student films so enter your independent film!
The teachers typically most like the rooms on the south side of third and fourth floors with the tables in the shape of a "U" and computers on the walls. These rooms also have windows.
Each semester the school has internship days for Print, Broadcast, PR & Digital specializations. Turn in your application by the deadline and interview with multiple companies to land an internship.
Have your own camera if you take Photojournalism I (JMC 351). If not, you will have to rotate a camera with up to two other people. It's very hard to get assignments done this way. Invest in a camera.
