It doesn’t get more authentic than the New Otani, with its 400-year-old garden, tea ceremonies, and restaurant’s traditional teppanyaki cuisine.

Wonderful hotel but like a small city.....remember to get on of their maps. If you get lost you are unlikely to starve as there are 45 restaurants!

Simply great:-) The garden is beatiful. Koy fish in the water - exotic. The pool seemed a little overpriced so I never tried it. Very polite staff. They even have good shopping here - shops in hotel.

Many people have mentioned there is no wifi in rooms, but as of May 2013 there is free wifi in rooms (and fairly fast as well),

The Akasaka area, right out of the Garden Court entrance of the building has fabulous coffee shops ( Tully's, Zoka ) and many wonderful resturants. The Hotel also has wonderful resturants on premise.

If you book a room type it will not necessarily be available (we booked a non smoking king size but were given a choice either smoking king size bed room or non smoking 2 beds).

Akasaka-Mitsuke stop on the Marounuche line is just out the garden court exit and right. Line goes to Ginza area and Tokyo station without changing trains.

The garden suite rooms are old and terrible. Nothing really exiting is within walking distance. A hotel for business travellers, not for kids!

Terrible service, no WiFi except in reception corridor and you are expected to walk from one end of hotel to the other to buy the stupid card to get access. Then purchasing the card takes forever.

Make sure you have the address to the Hotel. Cab Drivers seem not to know it off hand

ガーデンラウンジのショートケーキは大きくて、１つが2人分あります、頼めばカットして分けてくれます。個人的には、和栗のモンブランがオススメですが、いつもあるわけではありません。
