Dallas ObserverOctober 9, 2014Spam can be turned into some stellar bar food, like with The Local Oak's Surfers on Acid. The buns are Hawaiian rolls, which are toasted in butter before they receive a slice of lightly seared Spam.
Specialty cocktails are delicious! My favorite is the local oak, but if you enjoy a more traditional drink try the Moscow Mule(they use house made ginger syrup). go on Tuesdays for sloppy joes ummm!

If you eat pork you must get the candied bacon! You probably won't want to share. Also, check out their daily specials and happy hour.
