I got the regular size chicken and beef gyro platter. I'm known to be able to wolf down a meal, but the amount of food I got here was a challenge. Good thing it was delicious! Beware of the red sauce!
Went to a The Halal Guys today for their Grand Opening. Such a great spot! Simple menu (for now) and great, attentive, and speedy service. A+ I can't wait for their delivery menu in a week!
Mix plate over rice and you're done. Hot sauce gets VERY hot. I actually prefer the stands just for the experience, but the brick and mortar place will satisfy your cravings.
Similar taste we've all learned to love down on Sixth Ave. Portions seem a tad bit smaller & asking for extra hot yields a puzzled look. Extra $ for to go hot/white sauces. Pricer than cart.
The original is not to be missed, but the restaurant is a great way to get almost -- not exactly -- the same quality of the street cart. Go light on the hot sauce.
After they started franchise biz, they became like Chipotle... Plates are getting smaller, they used to put gyro or chicken to fill the plate before, now they don't even put 2 full spoon... Ripoff now
False advertising! They don't do deliveries, however in their website they state they do! Placed an order and never got the food! Called them to get a refund but they completely ignore my calls!
My first experience with Halal Guys and honestly don't get the hype. No better or worse than countless other gyro platters I've had in NYC. Service leaves a lot to be desired.
This place is a rip off. Small gyro is 6.99+Tx and large is 7.99+Tx. And 3/4th of my bowl is lettuce+tomato+shitty rice. Why come to halal guys if not the copious amount of meat.Avoid this place.
