Pretty big variation in quality of rooms; it is an old retrofitted hotel, so some have large utility enclosures which are remarkably noisy. Complain if you get one.
Super elegant rooms. Great location. Exceedingly pricybreakfast "buffet" consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. I recommend you go out for breakfast.
Seafood salad in the lounge is awesome ... Bar tender needs to buy a book; valet bell and front desk staff were amazing , friendly , helpful and all about making sure our needs were met.
Just a walk away from DuPont Circle. Staff was ok, didn't make an impression. Room was nice, spacious even though had interior view. Bath products were great & abundant -- love the luxury collection!
Overall room is nice. Entrance light by door is out and air filter is clogged. Around midnight an alarm clock under the bed went off. Have to wonder how long it had been there.
Lobby looks like the lobby of a nice apartment building. Hallways upstairs are beautiful as are the rooms. Can't beat Frette robes, bedding and towels.
Had a poor experience. I was put in an incorrect room first and it took management over an hour to correct. Plus they had an attitude about correcting the situation. Rooms are okay but need updating
Don't hit front desk after 10pm very rude and unhelpful. Second bed not made up, wouldn't give us our bags, bell boy didn't come and it was after midnight, wife had to argue with rude lady to get them
Nestled among the stately mansions of Massachusetts Avenue, The Fairfax at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C embodies the grace and elegance of a bygone era in Dupont Circle.
