The design is great, and the seating is great. The big problem though is that the food choice isn't that big, other then salads and sandwiches. There are some really crazy choices too.
One of our favorite places to eat (and drink) when visiting our Walnut St. store. Get the cheesesteak egg rolls (for a twist on the Philly classic). Save room for cocktails on the roof deck.
INCREDIBLE food. Brussel sprouts are orgasmis, Chilean sea bass is to die for and the warm chocolate cake with salted caramelpretzelice cream.. MELTING. Amazing food, amazing ambiance.
The decor and seating are super fun. Swinging chairs are available for couples. The crispybrussels sprouts are delicious. The Korean bbq ribs had a little too much five spice for me though.
My family and I love coming here whenever we're in Philly. They have amazing and fun drinks, along with food that's unique and delicious, with inspiration from across the globe. Don't miss out.
Great places for drinks or a quick dinner, brunch menu is decent but not super creative. For dinner, go with the French onion soup dumplings and the cheesesteak egg roll!
Octopus cooked to perfection and the tapas size was the perfect amount. Followed with lump crabpad Thai - all of it delicious. Upstairs is a little quieter and the porthole windows are fun!
Adult juice boxes, rooftop bar, swing seating, and lobster mac and cheese are only a few highlights. Great place for dates. Usually a wait, make a reservation!
The swing chairs are really fun. My favorite dishes are the hummus, zucchinipancakes, and spinach ravioli. My boyfriend loves the miso glazed Chilean sea bass
Try the mid townmocha. Light, chocolatey, amazing. The melon drop is equally delicious. And don't let the cheesy exterior deter you...you must actually go all the way in the see how uncheesy it is.
Continental Mid-town offers a 'global tapas' menu. The restaurant's primary draw are the pretty drinks and robust social scene. If the weather is good, try the rooftop bar. Read more
dropped in on a hungry stomach. very laid back style.. back in time.. shoestring fries were a little work. cheesesteak egg roll was great! bucket seats were cool
Enjoying an awesome bottle.of Kendall Jackson pinot noir, tuna tar tar and a pad Thai dish. It is about 915pm on ausgust 31st...and life couldn't be better in the swinging chair with fabulous food and
The perfect spot to 1) drink martinis; and 2) drink enough martinis that you won’t be bothered by the fact that you’re drinking with the crowd that frequents the Continental.
The restaurants cool vibe and interesting menu gives you a different, and still delicious experience. Their French Onion Soup Dumplings and the LambFlatbread are definitely among the menu favorites.
If you're on a date, don't get the shoestring fries--no way to eat them and look impressive to a date. If you're NOT on a date, get the shoestring fries--they're addictive and amazing.
After years of checking out Midtown's rooftop deck, I have to say, it's still a place to see and be seen. Nice looking crowd, decent global cuisine (stepped up from years past) and the roof deck!
They won't refer to this place as a Tapas place, but order the CheesesteakEggrolls and surround them with any of their other tasty creations to complete the meal.
Rooftoplounge is a great weekend hangout. Beers are affordable ($5-6) and there is a nice wine/liquor selection. Bourbonmanhattan's come in tiny martini glass.
The rooftoplounge is Mid-town’s pièce de résistance. Partially enclosed so that it’s servicable year-round, the deck area is one of the most popular nightspots in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood.
Be sure to try the Tuna Tartar. It's amazing as is the Nai Ra Thai Chicken. These folks must be getting their ingredients from the farmer's market because everything's so fresh and tasty! :)
One of the best spots for brunch in Philadelphia, The Continental features retro décor and even better salads as one of the most distinct spots in Philly.
