- Fitness room is small; Look up the Mt Vernon Trail, it is only a couple blocks away and offers great views of the Potomac and DC.

- Barry KesselJune 27, 2013Most dog friendly hotel anywhere. Also, best location in Old Town. Nice staff, rooms nicely appointed. Hard to tell it was once a Holiday Inn.
- The 5pm wine happy hour is crowded with hotel guests drinking in the lobby. Take it to the patio if the weather is nice.
- Maire RosolMarch 26, 2011Great staff & aervice. My flight was very late & checked in to hotel at 3 AM. Y I was sooo thirsty & they brought a pepsi & a glass of ice to my room. Talk about caring about the guest.
- Rooms are nice and the meeting space is great. Good place for family and friends. It's close to the water.

- Gregory RMarch 2, 2014it's ok. could use a little attention to detail in rooms. I was on the top floor. Room had a single, small window. room itself was like so many business hotel rooms. Wired internet was fast.
- M. MOT.March 31, 2019Rooms are big, beds are small. Don't ask for top floor (6th) A/C has to be running all the time to keep the room cold enough & windows are too small. Definitely needs some updates!

- If you happen to get a room next to housekeeping (204, for example) don't be surprised if you can hear the Hispanic ladies yapping away in there all day long. Loudly.
- Customer service has gone waaaay down since it became the Alexandrian.
- Make sure to go around the corner to Lavender Moon for cupcakes
- If you bring your dog, they'll provide the pup with a special bed
