More Down Under cafe culture than NYC hustle. Come to chill, read, hang out. Espresso, relaxed staff, retro beats, & separate laptop area all get thumbs up. The curbside seats out front get great sun!
Besides being a great cafe for reading, sipping lattes, and indulging in a Balthazar pastry, check the schedule to catch some talented local musicians, e.g. Brazilian jazz, with wine!
This might be my new favorite coffee shop. Wonderful vibe and design, friendly staff, and delicious drinks and food! Ample space at the community technology table and excellent wifi.
Tunisian owner opens Italian cafe in Dominican nabe. Local creatives add to the vibe. After 5pm is ideal for dates that sip wine from bottles and chat. Food is locally made. Wifi now moved to rear.
Great food, service and comfortable environment with a friendly staff. Free wifi and a plug-in community table. A definite pitstop for locals. What more do you need?
Try the goat cheese panini if you want to grab a bite. Best seats are at the back of the press. People watch, plug your laptop and work to great music too
Great, responsibly sourced coffee; friendly, no-attitude staff; warm vibe. A welcome oasis and benefit for the neighborhood. Support your local coffee shop!
This place is super cute with good vibes and coffee. But beware, if you are working on a laptop there is limited space and you're only allowed in the back. We we kicked out of the front.
Although their espresso is rough around the edges, Taszo is a large, bright shop in an underserved neighborhood, with a separate back area for computer users.
Espresso is not the greatest but Upper Manhattan sorely lacks cafés like this - meeting place, Balthazar pastries, lots of space. The owner is always running around!
Quaint spot. Great vibe and pretty good coffee. Skip the macarons (the delicate sandwich cookie, not the coconut ones); they're actually soggy and petty terrible.
