- City PagesAugust 21, 2014For pub crawlers, Sweeney's serves as brother bar to the nearby Muddy Pig, and its focus on low-cost happy-hour specials makes it an inexpensive nightcap. Read more
- Krista HenningsAugust 8, 2011Most of their food is WAY better than typical bar food--and you can get any of their specialty burgers with a turkey or black bean pattie, so there's a lot of options. And their 50-cent tacos are smal
- City PagesSeptember 16, 2013If you haven't been to Sweeney's, it's probably a good idea that you go. Happy hour is a great way to start with $3 Summit Pints and $0.50 Tacos every day from 3pm-6pm.
- Lunch special great. With the bar food and tap selection you might not guess that this is the best place to get soup... I know... I don't usually really like soup either, but it's very good.
- Easily one of the better patios in the area. Come here for the great beer and food!
- Bryan BedessemFebruary 26, 2015Awesome neighborhood bar with a great patio. Good beer, great cocktails, and awesome bar food.
- Michael FoehseApril 23, 2012Great beer on tap, Chicken wings are a must-have. A little hipster, but worth a stop on a chill night! They show outdoor patio movies during the summer months.
- Amanda ShobergAugust 25, 2015Sweeney's has the best patio in St Paul. Their Southwest Egg Rolls are amazing. Always get their ginger infused whiskey!
- Chicken "wings" not the usual bar fair. Really, the best wings I've had in the Twin Cities. And I'm not alone. Six wings feeds 2 people. Crowded seating but worth it.
- Jeremy DowdMay 5, 2011Late night food specials and a craft beer selection as well as a very popular patio make this a great warm weather haunt in the neighborhood.
- My favorite place to get chicken wings in town. During Patio season, this has one of the best in town. When it's still cool out they have heaters and a fireplace.
- Free jameson and gingers at sweeneys tonight if you chat with the jameson girls! as well as some swag from a bag! Yaaaa!
- Chels BJuly 11, 2013Thai chicken wrap = perfect amount of spicy peanutty goodness! Highly recommend!
- Tacos are 75 cents with a limit of 5 per person during happy hour.
- BobbieOctober 2, 2011I'd argue they have the best wings in town! During late night happy hour their wings are only 85 cents a pop.
- TaraFebruary 18, 2010Go to Sweeney's and head straight to the patio (especially in the fall) and soak up the fire! Hands off the logs! You can get in trouble for that.
- 60 cent wings after 9. They are huge and delicious! 50 cent tacos and 2.50 summits every day from 3-6. Service can be so-so.
- Pitchers of Summit EPA are $5 off after 9. Wings are 85 cents a piece. Need I say more?
- From time to time a bartender will enjoy a shot of Jameson with you!
- Bathroom Review: They just redid the bathroom, which used to have some terrific graffiti. The new one features a poorly placed hand dryer immediately next to the urinal, you can guess what happens.
- Bobbi Jo WoodsAugust 11, 2010They have homemade beef jerky. Good patio for getting in some face time with friends.
- Best wings in town! They are only 60 cents a piece after 9pm.
- Kevin WeberApril 9, 2010Beer selection is great and the nachos are expensive but awesome. Get chicken.
- The fries - still delicious, especially with not 1 but 2 sides of mustard-mayo.
- If you get Benjamin as your server, ask for a different one. Not really sure how he still has a job there by his lack of service.
- Whoever makes the soups here puts the soup nazi to shame! I'm not even a soup guy.
- Crappy Service and missing alot of reagents required to make good cocktails. If you only want them to pour beer they are adept at that.
