killer appetizers: grilled octopus and fried artichoke. we went with both lobster and arroz negro paellas for our table. both were great, but lobster was definitely gone first.
The Nolita location of Lolo Manso's paellabar has more space and higher energy than the original in Chelsea, but the paella, each made to order, is just as good.
Great selection of paellas. Good wine list. Happy Hour daily til 7 w/ half priced tapas. But if you come on the early or it is slow you will get terrible service as the staff just hangs out & chats.
Great spot - amazing tapas and paellas. Perfect place to catch up with a bunch of friends. Enjoy the sangria and don't forget to get the churros for dessert.
Best paellas in the city. You can skip on the appetizers and go straight for the paellas. The one with the black rice and the one with the assortment of meats are 2 thumbs up!
The paella is a must but treat yourself to the Datiles Rellenos (bacon cheese dates) - so yummy! Save room for the Bunuelos, they're like little delicious balls of donut.
The paella (arroz negro) had a good crisp, but the seafood was mediocre and felt like an afterthought. Appetizers were nothing to write about -- so I won't!
Maybe it's because I've been to Spain that I think this paella is okay and there's way too much crusty rice on the bottom called Socarrat that hurt my molars at the end of the night. Eh. Next.
I guess people reviewing this place positively have never had a good (or decent) paella.Avoid at all cost. Had the squid ink paella and it had no flavor. Seafood was added last min and overcooked.
