this place live up to the hype. the view of the bay bridge is breathtaking n great food♥ chive& shrimp dumpling, shaking beef, n cellophane noodle with dungeness crab!! love love!
Agricole Rhum Punch, all their cocktails fantastic & should be for $13. While you enjoy your libation at the bar, watch the oyster shucking & seafood prep station's attention to detail on each plate.
The first bracing taste of the pho bo ($8.50) -- a traditional soup with noodles and beef, served with a plate of sprouts, herbs, chile sauce and lemon -- brought me back to Hanoi's market stalls Read more
Crispy Imperial Rolls: amazing taste and texture bomb 💣poppers to please your tongue and tummy: crunchy, soft, sweet, spicy, salty, warm, cold, bright, fresh, incredible must have appetizer!
If you can snag a seat at the long bar, with the Bay and the Bay Bridge just over your right shoulder, and order a few fried things to go with your cocktails, you'll feel like you've arrived. Read more
If you are dining solo the staff is super friendly and will offer you to order half portions of some dishes. Great for you to try a bit of everything and not waste anything.
Amazing. We tried to order the whole menu. Cocktails are well balanced and the food is so flavorful. I don't usually order the pork belly but with a sharing atmosphere I'm glad we did. Not too fatty.
My second visit and food was outstanding as expected. Unlike last time, we also indulged in their desserts. Citrus Trifle was worth the visit. Milk Choco. Mousse, bland name for this pistachio dessert
The Vietnamese crepes are a masterful blend of complementary textures. The tender pancakes are sauteed to form a crunchy edge, encasing velvety poached shrimp, vegetables and bits of pork. Read more
Most amazing Vietnamese Fusion food I have ever had. Loved everything that we ordered: Imperial Spring rolls, Daikon Cakes, Lemongrass Tofu. place with a great view of the bay. Reserve before visiting
Their rolls are delicious but for anyone with a peanut or nut allergy, the staff is willing to adjust recipes. Great views, decent wine list and good service. Great family style dining option.
Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. Food is always spot-on, especially the shaking beef, imperial rolls, crab noodles...bar is also great for a cocktail or strong iced coffee + apps
LOVED this place. Good vibe, great food and drinks. Reservation is a must but if you don't have one you can dine at the bar ordering from the restaurant full menu. California yellowtail is sooo good!
Everything you order is good! Pork belly is great! Shrimp with shishito peppers delicious, bok choy with mushrooms and all the vegetable dishes are very well prepared! It is a must!
Amazing restaurant! The tuna tartare, imperial rolls, cellophane noodles, and dumplings were fantastic, and you can't go wrong with the ginger limeade. Will definitely return!
Get rice daikon cake, chicken clay pot, crab cellophane noodles, & pick a yummy veggie. Skip spring rolls - totally overrated though the sauce is great.
With beautiful views of the bay, I enjoy coming here for an early dinner to watch the sun set. My favorites include the shaking beef, cellophane noodles with crab and seasonal vegetables.
Dropped in for lunch since dinner seemed impossible. Bar was quite comfortable and service was friendly. Best spring rolls I've had. A great beer selection that probably is overshadowed by food.
The Bay views of Charles Phan's popular restaurant are alluring, but the attraction remains Phan's incredible, inventive Vietnamese-inspired food. Try the spicy short ribs and crab spring rolls . Read more
Book ahead for this popular place. Everything is incredible but recommend spring rolls and ribs to start. The vegetable dishes are delicious and enough to share
What's good? Well...the view, the drinks, the wine list (although I expected more CA choices), the veggie wraps with peanut sauce , the beef entree, the bok choi, and the cotton candy.
Still nothing beats the cellophane noodles and shaking beef... A must have. Also if your into wine try the petite arvine from the institut agricole regional, one of the only places in the nation!
Worth your while for food, ambience, great view. I ordered the imperial roll, shrimps and celophane noodles and was positively surprised. Would come back no doubt!
If you do not have a reservation ... you can usually get in for lunch. If you'd like a dinner reservation make it in advance, the sunset view and delicious food are too amazing to miss.
Food was excellent. We had the branzino, shaking beef and noodles with crab and cauliflower. Also has the crispy rolls and slanted door spring rolls. Preferred the crispy rolls.
Papaya salad plus the spicy squid make for a great business lunch. Grab an iced tea, it's infused with lychee and they'll refill it as long as your thirsty.
It's hard to get reservations here. But it's worth it. Everything is amazing. Service is really fast. Food is incredibly fresh. I love vietnamese food.
It is an outstanding restaurant with unordinary wine list. Normal food with Vietnamese culture... Amazing. No coca cola in the menu👍👍👍 a little bit crowdy. We had to wait for a table.
Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the country. Humble family recipes from Vietnamese Chef Charles Phan, made exceptional with locally-sourced ingredients, all overlooking the San Francisco Bay.
Was not disappointed taking people's advice with the Shaking Beef and the dumplings - both were amazing. And the cotton candy is a fun sharable desert.
Charles Phan’s restaurant is still one of our SF staples - can’t skip it when we’re in town, even if we only have room for the raw bar and an order of their ridiculous Wood Oven Roasted Clams.
Make reservations weeks in advance if you want any hope of getting a table. Otherwise, show up 15-30 minutes before they open and they take walk-ins then. And yes it is well worth the hassle.
