Not the cheapest place, but the food was really great and worth the money. Paella is amazing! And the stuff's fun and made us a compliment of postres and grappa at the end :)
Super touristy place but with great food for the location. I had the paella and a mixed salad and it was yummy. The service is not great but acceptable. Gets busy at lunch, so get a table early.
Had lunch an asked for the menu of the day (2 course, dessert and drink for 12€). Really local feel to the restaurant all in all. Warning, eating at the terrace is for tourists -higher prices
Variety of dishes. We order chicken and a vegetarianpaella and both were fulfilling and delicious. Great for groups, but try to make a reservation. They give tiny dessert on the house.
Nice mix of locals and tourists with great food and vibrant atmosphere. Be aware that they are very good at selling you more than you want. Food quality is great!
Yes, it's a tourists place, but it's also a very fine option for a paella near the beach even if you're a local. Worth visiting, even if the price (due to the area and location) is a bit high.
Classic resto at Barceloneta - prices rather high but offering good quality food: go for the Plato Olimpiades (mixed seafood for 2), we had it 3 of us and could not finish it
Day one - 8.30pm: Salamanca (0034 93 221 50; gruposilvestre.com) is a boisterous, sprawling classic, with a seafront terrace and prices that are better than most (mains starting from around £11).
They give you pan con tomate as an appetizer without asking and say it's "on the house", but they charge you 3.90 for it. Don't touch it and give it back unless you want it.
It was very nice, the toilet is not very clean and no wifi, but if you like good paella with seafood, than this is a good bet. The hams on the cealing are a nice decoration wich makes it a nice place
The seafood rice is good, but overall I would say it’s a little overpriced, plus this is the ONLY restaurant with waiter asking for tips in the Entire Europe ever for me. A bit minus
Good location by the sea, but paella overestimated in relation of the reputation. Paella came in less then 10 minutes it sounded and tasted as a warmed up plate. Not recommendable, very touristic. 😰
An otantik seafood restaurant. Shrimps, seabass, crab, lobster, turbot delicious.too much chances.Service average but fast.vine menu is not satisfactory.prices tolerable for a seafood restaurant.
We had daily menu, it was OK - the fish soup a bit too salty, my main food - fish - was cold. The cuttlery was dirty. Service was ok, could be nicer. Next time I would try some other place instead.
The paelle is too salty, not delicious. Lobster paelle comes with one person portion. The rest paelle is 2 person minimum. Bread is charged around 1 euro.
So Time Out and Guardian was raving about this place. Personally, the atmosphere was great by the beach, but the paella was too oily and it didn't taste as great as La Fonda.
we got a fried worm in the fried xipirons plate, the paella is jus edible. flavourless, unevenly cooked and topped with old shrimps. overpriced bad tourist trap. the paellas are 18-23 euros per person
Very tasty seafood paella, high quality of food, just in front of the beach. They bring to you bread with ham as starter and dessert (little pieces of cake) for free and the price is reasonable.
