Favorite bar in Brooklyn. Be sure to pair your liter of beer with a bratwurst from the back grill. Order a giant pretzel! Get the beer cheese! Celebrate, because now your life is complete!
I love this Biergarten which is in Williamsburg. It's moderately cheap, live music on weekends, delicious sausages & good variety of beers. Don't forget to order Munich Pretzel
Williamsburg is a must see in NYC. Radegast has a wide selection of beer&sprits. Traditional beer garten, Munchen style. Beer prices OK. Food expensive. Weihenstephaner & Köstritzer tap recommended.
If you’re trying to get rowdy without all the pretense that “eating” brings with it, Radegast is your new best friend. Bring a deck of cards, stake out a massive table, and let the party begin. Read more
Always a fun time here with a group. They offer a sweet happy hour deal on weekdays for a liter of beer and sausage for 16 bucks. There's live music on top of the great food and drinks too.
This is what German dad (73yo) said: The atmosphere is 9/10, beer selection 7/10 (no beer from Baden-Württemberg!). It's definitely worth it to visit this place!
One of our friends made the joke that this is the perfect spot if you’re part hipster and part Viking. While we’re neither, we still love the Radegast vibe, as well as the pretzels and the live jazz!
The terrine mixing the livers of rabbits and chickens is superb, served with a plethora of toasts; while the roast quail in demi glace is the equal of any found in a fancyFrench restaurant. Read more
My favorite Biergarten in Brooklyn. Get the Sünner Kölschbeer and a bratwurst from the grill. it's not on the Food menu but the grill is hidden at the back and you have to get there to order!
Besides the HB on draft this is one of the 2-3 places in New York which offers Pilsner Urquell on draft. Lovely open space for an evening out with friends
The coolest beer place in the town. Very European style and every beer is so tasty. The venue is so cosy and grilled sausages are so tasty. My favorite in Williamsburg.
One of the best places I've been to in NY. Sharing the huge tables with groups of strangers make it even more interesting. Order the Weihenstephan, it's the oldest operating brewery (1.040).
Simply the best beer garden in all of NYC. Dare to take the L train to find German beer & grilled food goodness in this authentic, unassuming environment. Perfect for Sunday Fundays.
The beer hall has a come-one-come-all, communal atmosphere. Wash down your heavy schnitzels and blintzes with a hearty glass of the best beers that Belgium and Germany have to offer.
Such a fun beer hall, with an inside bar and seating. Get a kielbasa from the grill with French fries and a giant pretzel! Live music almost every night.
Fun atmosphere on a casual weeknight (stay away on weekends). Band was playing, great food. Only complaint was that the bartender put all 3 bills together and left w/out letting us ask to split 3 ways
Lots of German beers and a few others from around Europe. Beers you've probably never heard of for $7-$45. Fun place with live music. Bar seating plus in side room long bench seating
Oktoberfest feeling in Brooklyn! Very good selection of beer and great grills cooked just next to you. Both sausages and burgers arw great accompanies to great beer.
Every Tuesday night we open the Bier Haus for beer tastings and flights. We have 9 taps that are devoted to Specialty & Seasonal European Craft Beers that rotate weekly. Tuesdays 7pm in the back!
Great beer selection and food, especially the pretzels. Great atmosphere also. The only knock is that I would like to see German style roasty potatoes instead of fries.
As a vegetarian I can't vouch for the sausages but as an Austrian I can say they looked really authentic. ;) The fries were delicious. Wish they had more veggie options! Great atmosphere!
Huge beer garden/hall for you to come with a big group. Music is a little overwhelming but get the dry cider or the sunner kolsh if you prefer something lighter and crisp.
Come here on a weeknight for great, none-too-crowded beer or three. There might be some like folk music (or there might not). If that's too calm for you, head across the street to The Levee.
Best social gathering spot in North Brooklyn--great atmosphere, great beer selection--and to add to it--incredible food; best cooked pork chop you can get anywhere.
In addition to a great beer selection and delicious food, this place often hosts jazz and swing bands that give it a great atmosphere - like a real music-filled biergarten from Williamsburg's past!
If you are looking for answers at the bottom of your glass, get one of the 0.5L beers as you probably forget what you were looking for if you get a 1L! Ohhh, this beer is gooood!
As far as bier halles are concerned, this place hits it out of the park with a large indoor space, live oompa bands, a winding bar, dozens of beers and a pretty solid grill offering in the back corner Read more
My usual: Schneider Weisse (1L) and anything from the grille. Perfect spot for out of town guests or a fun date. A guys guys spot that girls will love too.
Would recommend getting there before the invasion of frat bros...but if you can and are lucky enough to see the High and Mighty Brass Band its the best.
If you love a bunch of knee boot girls screaming anytime anything happens and a bunch of dudes that are self proclaimed “weekend warriors then this is your spot p.s. if your waitress is Kim, good luck
