Serious Eats: Maokong is a once popular tea growing region in Taipei & is now home to dozens of family-owned tea houses. Settle in at one of the tea houses & spend the afternoon relaxing with tea and little bites.
Curry Matsuba: One of the best overall cafes in Taiwan: attention to detail in coffee, food, and decor. I applaud the owners restraint and that she studies the Tartine cookbooks. Bravo!

Travel + Leisure: On a quiet street in Zhongshan, minimalist Fika Fika specializes in single-origin Nordic-style brews and is a favorite among Taipei chefs.
Travel + Leisure: At this wellness retreat in Beitou, a quiet northern suburb famous for its hot springs, eight slick indoor and outdoor pools aid in everything from skin detoxification to enhanced circulatory health.
Raven Amos: Nice, comfortable interior with old furniture. It's really cozy and joyful to sit beside the old frosted-glass windows on sunny days. Coffee is a little pricy but really good. Very recommend.
