I have never eaten anywhere like it. The menu options sound weird but served together they are so delicious. Perfect fun tastes and perfect accompaniments to the main course. Loved it!
Great place to hang out with close friends. Reserve if you have a group as tables waits can be ~45mins! Marked Indian but the food is Americanized with Indian undertones; still great!
Jerry Traunfeld continues to wow by applying his deep experience in local, seasonal cooking to the Indian thali format for small tastes, w/ plenty of global influences along the way. [Eater 38 Member]
I looooove Poppy. Dinner is a taste sensation. Cocktails are the best in town, but save room for dessert. Sweet Thali for two! Nutter butters are amazing.

A merger of Northwest ingredients in the "thali" style. Thali is essentially tapas that are served together on a platter. Poppy is a great place to try a new take on happy hour food.
I have to agree with everyone. The eggplant fries with honey are killer. Make sure to save room for dessert and check out the garden in the back if you get the chance.

Chef Traunfeld's riff on Indian food and cooking methods, complete with edible flowers. His happy hour doesn't stray. Even the cocktails have herbs grown from the garden out back. 5-7 9-11 T-Th & Sun Read more
Oh dear! The tuna remoulade has changed: the original w/ tuna mixed in kicked ass. The new version? Not so much...Poppy, please go back to the original!
Meh. Food is extremely sweet and salty, at the same time. Each bite in itself is very tasty, but having multiple dishes that all clash in flavor ends up just leaving a weird after taste.
