Walk across the Wburg Bridge w/ your favorite girl and treat her to a chicken biscuit w/ profresh people watching on the side. If she's not into it: dump her, take me.
Keep this one simple: You go to Pies 'n' Thighs for some of the city’s best fried chicken, served in a “box” or in hot sauce and honey butterbiscuitsandwich, as well as a fine selection of pies. Read more
The dense, softball-sized cakedoughnuts are great, but the best is the sourdoughdoughnut. It’s somewhere between cake and yeasted in texture and totally unlike any other in the city. Read more
Try the three piece "box," which doesn't come in a box but does include a side (any of which are first-rate) and biscuit (upon which you should pour honey). Read more
Very fine fried chicken and biscuits, and an even better rotating selection of pies, have kept Pies ‘N’ Thighs a neighborhood favorite for over 10 years.
Of all the ways you can sandwicheggs and cheese, a buttery biscuit is among the best. At Pies N Thighs, the Banjo just does that, with the option to add bacon or sausage to the mix. Read more
This is the place that got me to eat chicken thighs. My favorite is the Chicken and Waffles which comes topped with cinnamon butter and seasonal fruit. The Arnold Palmer is a nice non-alcohol drink.
The Bitches Say: A. The comfort food and relaxed vibe results in a finger-lickin’ good brunch, if you can stand to wait in line. The chicken biscuit puts Chik-fil-A to shame! Read more
Frying up the best chicken in Williamsburg, and some of the best in Brooklyn, Pies-N-Thighs represents a sort of hipsterized Southern diner, a "meat and three" place that delivers "meat and one." Read more
Here's a awesome tip! On Tuesdays and Thursdays head over to Williamsburg Cinema's for $8 movie day.. Then take your ticket to Pies N Thighs to get a free drink with a sit down purchase!!!! Awesome
Once you get past the apathetic service, you’ll be blown away by their Fried Chicken Box (get the cheese grits) and finish it off with a slice of Banana Cream Pie. The doughnuts are great too!
Nothing more obvious than the fried chicken biscuit and the Mac & Cheese then wash that down with their classic Arnold Palmer. Smile, have a slice of pie, go home and cuddle your boo/dog/teddy.
We got a order of onion rings and two chicken and waffles. It came out to $35. Nice ambience. It was like a 20 min wait on a Wednesday night and the space is a little small. But the food was great!
The chicken biscuit is a great combo, especially because of the hot sauce- but the highlight for me were the desserts here! The chocolate cake donut was probably the best donut I've ever had.
Their whole menu is great but try the chicken box with hush puppies. Moist and tender pieces, perfectly seasoned and crispyhush puppies with tangytartar sauce, and the best biscuit you'll ever have.
Scrooge tip- get the Super Bowl with chicken as a side sub. Basically a make your own chicken biscuit with two sides for the price of one! Ps- try the watermelonagua fresca 👍
Get the Rob Evans for brunch. Just look at that photo. The sweet tea is also fantastic and don't forget to treat yourself to a butter pecandonut, even if it is to go.
Please try out the Chicken and Waffles while you’re here! Two pieces of fried chicken with two buckwheatwaffles, topped with cinnamon butter and apples.
The Long John at Pies 'n' Thighs: Not just for fried chicken and meringue, this beloved brunch spot also rotates special, sugary treats. (Bonus: A new restaurant just opened in the Manhattan.)
One doughnut is enough for two, a side of ice cold milk and you my friend just had the most amazing appetizer before you have the most amazing main course (chicken heaven)
Try the Chicken Biscuit your first time and then try everything else when you come back. Fun to share the donuts and pie. My favorite hands down is the bourbonpecan pie with chocolate.
The best fried chicken I've had in Brooklyn (and maybe Manhattan?). The hush puppies are out of this world. Mac and cheese is nothing special, but get the hush puppies!!
Amazing fried pickles, cheese grits, hush puppies & sour cherry pie. I had leftover chicken/biscuit in my purse all day, on a flight home to Chicago, & it was still juicy and amazing next day. Magic.
Good food. The hot sauce has good flavor and compliments everything very well. Catfish, Mac and cheese, sour cherry pie, chicken biscuit were all good. Beans were the only thing I didn't like to much
I got the chicken pot pie and it was good. Could've been warmer. The fried chicken box was on point, though. Best biscuit I've ever had, and the mac was to die for!
Tourist tip: I'm sure the pies 'n' thighs are delicious, but do not leave without trying a donut... I think the one I had was called Pecan Butter Crunch? I call it amazing.
Guy loved the savory buckwheatwaffles and fried chicken, which were light and crisp. He also devoured the addictive Pecan Crunch Donut coated with homemadetoffee. Read more
The biscuits are great! But on my most recent visit the fried chicken was SCARY! A thigh was still bloody in the middle. Not like a little red vein but like still raw under the skin, dripping blood.
so affordably delicious - get the chicken and waffles, chicken and biscuit, onion rings with horse radish, root beer, and just any of the awesome fried goodness
Chicken biscuit is better than the chicken box. Generally, the chicken is on the drier side and less flavorful if that's your thing. Mac n Cheese is delicious and not too heavy.
So good we went twice in a week. Vegetarian option “egg breakfast” is incredible, especially that biscuit! Such friendly staff and really chilled vibes.
Good ol' comfort food is great for the soul. Fried chicken box followed with a slice of sour cherry pie. Classic. Also I had no idea 'A la mode' meant 'with a scoop of ice cream' but hey i'm foreign.
The chicken biscuit with honey butter and hot sauce will make you want to eat here every day. Get that with the cool and refreshing Wamosa (WatermelonMimosa). Perfection!
Super cute place for brunch w the bf. Great casual ambiance and the food is amazing! I recommend the chicken biscuit!!! It's to die for! Def going back!
Southern food at its finest. Go with anything fried. Chicken Biscuit is delicious, crispy sweet and spicy. All the sides are delicious too from Mac and cheese to baked beans.
"Ad-Rock, Champagne JizzleBacon in the pan, non-stop sizzle Pies and Thighs, we got Wise chips" You probably wont live long eating here everyday but who wants to live forever.
Pies ’n’ Thighs started in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We took over a beer storage closet and transformed it into a tiny kitchen with six stools, serving huge donuts, two-napkin smoked pork sandwiches and salty, crispy fried chicken.
