Great Japanese breakfast. Set menu for $29 (no tipping) includes delicious miso soup, rice, choice of fish (roasted tuna belly was great) and a few tiny veggie sides, all very refined and tasty

The crowd here is younger, where small groups and couples are mulling over bowls of uni miso mazemen in the evening and Japanese breakfast during the day.

Transport yourself to Tokyo. Tiny little spot that serves a fish centric Japanese lunch set during the day (pictured) and mazeman and ramen by night

Japanese breakfast here is one of the most special food experiences you can have in this city. Tranquil atmosphere, spectacular food, and thoughtful service. Don't miss the tea shop, Kettl, upstairs.

Really great quaint place that serves Japanese breakfast around lunch and ramen in the evening. Seats 12. The wait is unreal but it's worth it. Go there at 10 am or after 10 pm to avoid a 2-hr wait.

Japanese set breakfast here is delicious. The main is a grilled fish, depends on day, for under $20. I highly recommend the poached egg for an extra $1. Orion beer & sake available. Ramen dinner only.

Come for the fish. Lots of traditional Japanese flavors. Pre fixe breakfast under $20 - recommend skipping the egg/uni addition to the rice and using the money on the appetizer. Quick seating if solo.

Perfect $15 set breakfast/lunch. Choose between the daily catch. I went with tile fish (mackerel was the other option). Ramen is on the menu for dinner but I bet this tiny spot gets jammed!

12 seats total. For dinner for 2, I'd recommend one ramen and one mazeman so you can try both the wet and dry noodles, respectively. Your belly will have room for something else. Like the daily sashim
