Boddingtons has been around in england for more than 200 years. It is a bitter beer, brewed by interbrew UK in manchester, england. It is well known around the globe due to its destinctive yellow can. It contains a nitrogen widget for that destinctive smooth flavour.

What are we drinking this summer? Combining canadian & american malts w/ a large proportion of un-malted white winter wheat, fiat lux starts w/ a belgian witbier inspiration. A blend of pacific northwest hops, a little lime peel & a dash of indian coriander brings a bright blast of citrusy aromatic sunshine, while german perle hops supply a nice big zap of refreshing bitterness.

Milk stout, also called cream or sweet stout, is a stout containing lactose, a sugar derived from milk. Because lactose is unfermentable by beer yeast, it adds sweetness & body to the finished beer. Milk stouts have been claimed to be nutritious, & were marketed as such in the early 1900s w/ claims that would make the fda wince. One ad read, ideal for nursing mothers, for the healthy, for the invalid, & for the worker. Surely! Of course, we couldn’t stop at a traditional milk stout.
