Great coffee and great people. Easy place to stop for a cheap, quick cup of joe when you're in the LES or headed to/from the second ave F stop.
- Stopped in here for coffee and tea as we were strolling down Houston checking out the NYC Street Art scene. Nice and helpful people, good people watching with the subway entrance nearby.
Mud with oat milk or iced coffees in the summer. Great Tompkins bagels and breakfast foods. Love the staff and vibe of this place, perfect to stop at before jumping on the F train.

As of about 2 days ago (3/20/2019), they changed their food menu and are no longer serving breakfast sandwiches. RIP to the avocado toast and the cheddar chorizo sandwich 😢

My favorite coffee in the city + outdoor seating. It's basically the best place downtown to bring a book.
Soft opening in December 2013, this coffee pick-up / to-go spot is a breath of fresh caffeine. A large drip will cost you back $2.50.

My prayers have been answered: I can pay for Mud coffee with a credit card!
Lauren MMay 29, 2014I think they don't accept credit cards during morning rush, which was the case on my last visit around 8:30-9am. Needs additional verification.
