- Brian HartJuly 8, 2012There are a lot of local residents who sell firewood for reasonable prices (better than the stores, at least) and they're usually willing to knock a few bucks off their price if you buy a lot.
- Brian HartJuly 8, 2012If you bring a hard-sided cooler (standard cooler), you'll need to rent a separate tube because they're not allowed on the inflatable rafts. Bring one of those soft coolers or your own tube (& rope).
- Brian HartJuly 8, 2012Be prepared to be squirted by kids & adults along the way. Most will ask whether you're okay with getting wet, but a lot won't ask or they'll soak you regardless. Be prepared, and be a good sport.
- Company had a retreat here for a week. Cell phone signal was spotty and local wifi was slow and dropped out from time to time. Otherwise the cabins are nice.
- When you do the shorter kayak/canoe/raft trip, be sure to take along money for the food stands along the way!

- We did the seven miles with our children and had a blast, we used the huge raft
