The displays they have set up throughout the store were fantastic. I was that nerd walking around pointing out things and giving the history on it to friends. Was there for Greg Proop's podcast.
They're popular so they tend to run out of new issues quickly, but you can sign up for their pull list (for free!) and they'll hold all your comics for two weeks.
It can get crowded at night with people in line for NerdMelt just picking thru the comics killing time. If ur there on a mission for books try to be patient an not kill anyone. They are still ur ppl.

CA (Shop) Nerd Alert! This is one of LA's biggest and best comic book stores, they have a great section of graphic novels. Best part, it's a short walk from The Standard, Hollywood!
It's great! , I usually use this as a halfway point to use the air-conditioner whilst walking to Amoeba from the Coffee Bean. It is great if you like comics like me.
Amazing, the store is still in business! They sell the SAME book and comic merchandise that Barnes&Noble does, or Japanese Kinokuniya bookstore at the high price. Warning, NOT a discount place, sorry.
