For brunching in Vancouver, it's a very good place. Inconvenient: you can wait until 1h30 to have a seat. Excellent service, original dishes & a very affordable price. Waffle👍.Experience is worth it.
Must order a waffle with salted caramel sauce. Caramel not so much your thing? They have plenty of other sauces available to delight all types of taste buds.
You must order the waffle but start with the granolaparfait as it is the best way to start your day. I like to pair this off with grapefruit juice. Come around 10am to avoid the extra long lines.
White chocolate, rose water and pistachio sauce for the waffles are to die for! The wait was 2 hours until we received our food but was worth it. Didn't love the coffee
Best breakfast in Vancouver! We went b/t 25-45 mins before they opened. Our faves are the: Les Boulettes, Cassoulet, Fricassée, and OF COURSE Liege-style waffles with their Lavender Latte
Waffles were fantastic! Light, fluffy on inside, slightly crunchy/chewy - just amazing texture. Also really loved the pork belly sandwich. Get there before 9 if you want to avoid a long wait.
Busy, bustling breakfastcafe with unique menu items. Be prepared for a long wait. But question if it is worth the wait. The waffles are real good but you can also have them to go along with a latte.
Must stop for brunch. Middle Eastern flavors.Worth the wait. Get there by 845am on the weekend for the first seating. The spicy Moroccan meatballs and orzopaella topped with eggs are amazing.
Heavy menu for brunch. My dish was very spicy! I think it’s not worth the hours of wait. Try waffles though. The perfect size and toppings! Salted caramel, fig and orange were delicious.(extra charge)
Came here twice when visiting Vancouver. Everything is fantastic! Get the Le Peameal; it's delicious and helps to feed someone in need! Incredibly helpful and friendly staff! Worth the hour-long wait.
Very popular place. Get here by 9am, have delicious coffee and quick bites of amazing waffle (w/ dark chocolate sauce!) then order breakfast. You won't be disappointed with anything here.
The harissaburger was beautifully plated & delicious. Brunch left me feeling so content & not overly full, even after my entree & sharing 2 waffles- had to have one before and one after the entrees!
The waffles were incredible! With the pistachiowhite chocolate with rosewater 😻👏🏻 & lavender latte. Also, they have the best hummus that I have ever had! 👌🏻
Get here early...like at opening time on a weekday. You'll get right in. Oh, and the eggs...oh the eggs. Everything here is incredibly delicious. Try the hot chocolate with lavender.
On a one month trip around North America and Canada, this was our best breakfast! So different and delicious with a cosy and modern feel. Get the pot of eggs and a side of waffles... #delicious
The menu was heavy even for brunch!I didn’t like the taste of my dish, the sauce was too much and very spicy. But try waffles. Good size, delicious, salted caramel, fig & orangejam taste like heaven!
The waffle and dips are good starters—could be a little more crispy. Medina bacon is worth trying. Also got the cous cous and lamb meatball dish, good but not amazing in that long wait kinda way.
Dark chocolate mocha was seriously divine, especially for chocolate lovers. Focaccia bread was a perfect accompaniment to the juicy, tender short ribs in the fricasee. Oh and don't skip the waffles.
If you are staying at L'Hermitage next door, they have a secret waiting list for guests. Tell the hotel desk staff in advance and they'll make sure you get a table without a wait the next morning!
Lives up to the hype! The long wait is worth it, just out your name down and have a coffee nearby. The fricassee - beef shortrib with aged white cheddar and roast potatoes 👌
Savory go Fricasse - braised short ribs with fried eggs, caramelized onions and applewood smoked cheddar. Sweet Belgium waffles with raspberry compote topping and a white chocolatepistachiomocha.
I had the best-seller dish: the "fricassée". Unexpected mix of flavours: Pork, eggs, tomato sauce and apple... The mix didn't match really well in my opinion. But coffee's good and waiters very kind!
The food here was beautifully presented and worthy of Instagram However, this is where it stops— you can go to another breakfast house to satiate your morning needs.
Get there early! Waffles are to die for and the Wolves Breakfast is a feast. Try one of their signature lavender lattes. Recommend and will go back. Kudos to Julia!
Expect a long wait if you arrive at opening. Or just show up an hour later to skip the line and add your name to the list. The harissa “burger” is the choice!!!
I'm not going to lie. But the liege waffle from blue bottle is a lot better. It's not as dense as the ones here. But Medina's lamb meatball is awesome 👌🏻
They effectively share the same kitchen as Chambar and I imagine there is some crossover in staff as well. There is a main front room for Cafe Medina where you’ll find the waffles... Full review --> Read more
Waffles seem to be the signature here. Personally didn’t find it mind blowing. If you get it, skip the other toppings and go for the fig. One topping is enough for two. Everything else was real good.
I was lucky today coz I came alone and no need to make reservation or line up over 1.5 hrs(heard the front staff advised) during weekend, I was arranged to sit at bar table.
Want to try the drinks and waffles (with toppings), but don't have endless hours to wait in line? You can get both to go from the till. Lavender in blends is subtle, not overdone and soapy.
