The zoo is awesome (and improving! I can't wait to see the new penguin exhibit this fall!)! The membership is well worth it, especially if you have children that enjoy the zoo like mine does.
Stay cool at the Zoo this August! Every Tuesday guests will receive a 25% discount admission and every Thursday the Zoo stays open until 7pm, offering live music as you stroll through the park.
There is an African watering hole includes rhinos, zebras, leopards, cheetah, chimpanzees. Walk through #1-rated Children's Zoo, the Maryland Wilderness and visit the arctic at Polar Bear Watch.
Haven't been here in 10 years...not as nice as the DC zoo but still a really nice chill place to walk around. The Africa section is definitely the highlight
Chimpanzee house and the sifakas are adorable. Great kid friendlyzoo. A manageable morning trip. You can see animals up close. I think it's better than the national zoo!
Opened in 1876, this is generally considered to be the third oldest zoological park in the U.S. This zoo breeds the greatest number of African black footed penguins.
They should charge less. African exhibit is under construction. No zebras or rhinos. The aviary is closed. Under construction. The children's area is weak. Building a new penguin exhibit as well.
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is the 3rd oldest Zoo in America, founded in 1876. Located in the heart of Baltimore's Druid Hill Park, the Zoo is home to over 1,500 animals and more than 200 unique species.
