Seating is out back on wooden benches, with schnitzels and wursts holding down the German food theme and plenty of Teutonic suds on tap in liter steins. Read more
This place is like the girl next door of beer gardens: unassuming and decent. Get your pint of Gaffel Kölsch, bratwurst and make your way toward the backyard patio, which gets full on Fall evenings.
Great sausages and great service! Staff is cool with people hanging out for awhile (not constantly asking if you "need anything else"). Great place for a lazy afternoon beer and snack.
Awesome beer garden! Definitely book the outdoor seating and get the currywurst! Excellent selection of beers and delicious sausages and schnitzel. On Christmas, definitely try their holiday drinks!
German food and beer garden. Great outdoor space. Solid German food. Currywurst, schnitzel, etc all excellent I find it to be a better beer selection than Zum Schneider, but I like Zum's more honestly
Meaty entrees include the brined, braised and roasted pork shank, sausage platter with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, and thinly pounded pork schnitzel. Read more
saw their gorgeous Instagram photos and trekked out in the snow to try the seasonal drinks. They were really underwhelming and overpriced $18; $18 for reg cocktail
The patio out back is great. Bring some cards, order some large beers and enjoy. Sometimes the waiters/waitresses can be a little uptight about splitting checks though for the table.
The back garden is adorable and unexpected- a great place to spend a leisurely afternoon day drinking (garden closes at 10pm). Great German beers. Fries are on point, too.
Best Biergarten I have been to in Manhattan. Tacos are to die for, amazing non-wheat beers, friendly staff. If you can't get a seat outside, they play some sweet tunes inside. Surprisingly not loud!
Grab a seat out back in the garden and enjoy good company and a liter of Radeberger Pilsner with a Bavarian Bretzeln or a Frikadelle mit Pommes Frites.
Beer gardens are better than real gardens. Booze here while snacking on the pretzels, which're stuffed-and-covered with a mix of Gruyere and Parm. Read more
Try the Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock. Its the strongest beer in the house with a 15% alcohol content (I think) and tastes a little like an espresso. #goodstuff
Grab a picnic table in their backyardbeer garden and take down a stein or 2 of beer to go along with classic German fare like schnitzel and bratwursts.
I am not a beer drinker and their wine selection is very limited. However my brewski loving friends always want to come here as do my German friends so they must be doing something right!
Been coming here since 2016 and it’s definitely changed to be more pricey and “American” without the unique German drinks and quirks. The service was good, but food and beer were meh.
Wandering in here to an empty patio on Mother's Day was the best thing that happened to me last weekend. Delicious burger, cold German drafts, & knowledgable staff. Sunshine was just a cherry on top.
One of the best spots in NYC for a beer lover to celebrate a with friends. Reserve the downstairs with enough people to get your own bartender for the night.
A great selection of German food and beers but with a perplexing offering of mediocre Mexican fare (tacos, nachos, guacamole, etc). They need to focus.
Nice selection of beers. Wasn't very impressed with the food though. We had the pretzels and sausage platter. Might be worth checking out in the spring/summer
There is no tips other than have your fill on some german beers and food. The steak and pork chops are great. This was a great time a friend and I to another friend here for his brithday a few years a Read more
