DHR.com: A complex of Taoist buildings. Most notable spots are: the Hall of Prayer (no nails were used in the construction!) and the Imperial Vault of Heaven, surrounded by the equally impressive Echo Wall.
Adam Chapman: Lovely Island. Clearly a tourist town, but nothing compared to nearby Halong. Can get a tour to Halong Bay. I recommend you hire a motorbike and explore the island and go hiking through the jungle.
