Very amazing museum, best I've been to! I would recommend the IMAX and Lightening Shows, they're insanely awesome! The food there is great at the Cafe, along with friendly volunteers and staff!
It's a great place to visit with so many exhibits. They did a nice job on their Skyscraper! Achievement and Impact tribute. LSC is a fun interactivescience museum for all.
Over a decade ago, the US Department of Energy installed a wind turbine at LSC to demonstrate the feasibility of using wind as a source of energy in urban areas. Check it out from the 4th floor deck.
The best science center I’ve ever been to. Kids love to walk the high beam in the construction room. It requires an appointment unless it’s a slow day at the Center.
Long lines and big crowds on rainy days. You can skip the line by buying tix on your phone and pick them up at the welcome counter IF you can navigate their mobile site.
This is a great place to learn about alternative energy solutions. As a Congressman, I will promote investment in green and renewable energy. #NJ11 http://www.markdunecforcongress.com/issues#FR-ei
This zany science museum is home to the first Hoberman sphere. Though geared toward littles (the calendar is packed with interactive learning events), it brings out the childish nerd in any adult.
Liberty science center is the perfect family fun escape from the snowy streets of NYC. Just a quick ferry ride across the hudson river from lower Manhattan.
Incredible spot for kids and adults alike. Worth becoming a member, but I hate the fact that I have to pay for parking every time regardless. Kinda weak.
Do NOT do the interactivemovie. A DVD movie carried to a classroom(theater) and played for you to watch a child's movie. The most interaction you get is putting the seat down to sit.
When in the Skyscraper exhibit, make sure you know the difference between the Curtain Wall Test and the Wind Tunnel Lab. Curtain Wall is the one you go in and sit!
Start at the top and work your way down. See an IMAX movie. The cafe is a bit expensive as you might expect, but a nice selection beyond burgers and pizza. Read more
After the museum closes at 5pm, the Science Center shows first-run and classic children’s movies in its 3-D and IMAX theaters. Powered by ParentsConnect.com
Filthy, obviously, but situation is so dire there is not a single working hand sanitizer dispenser mid day and the bathroom looks like a bomb went off.
