The beef stroganoff bread bowl is delicious! And the beets slaw side plate is good too. And I don't even care for beets. Stay for the polish beer and spelling mistakes on the menu as well.
Order the Polish plate to sample their specialties - stuffed cabbage, pierogies, potato pancakes, sausage & veggies . Try their goulash or Hungarian pancake too!
The food is top notch. Don't be scared and go for some of the Polish favorites like the tripe soup or the beef Tatar. Service is not the strong suit but the food more than makes up for it.
Come with friends and order the group platters! You'll eat likes king while listening to a Polish language grunge music Pandora station (just laugh it off, the good is good)!
Polish Plate if you want to sample the classics. And by "sample" I mean eat a whole appetizer-sized portion of each item. White Borscht to start - naptime to finish.
Extra-large cheese-and-potato pirogi are as traditional as they get. And they face a discerning crowd in Greenpoint’s largely working-class “Little Poland” of Brooklyn. Read more
Polish Plate (pierogis, pancakes & stuffed cabbage) was very good. However, all of our food game out luke-warm to cold. My friends did not like their dishes - pork dish and boar dish.
An excellent Polish joint. It has Medieval Times vibe about it without all the people carrying fake swords. Their $9 three course lunch special, is, well, three freaking courses for $9 Read more
I've been going here since I was like 8 years old. It's the polish restaurant my polish family goes to when they want polish food from the polish part of NYC. Polish.
Excellent food with large portions. I got the Polish plate. However, they charge for refills of soda. I paid $6 for two glasses of Coke (food was still excellent though)
My favorite polish cuisine in "getting smaller Little Poland - Greenpoint " , affordable price and decent service, quick delivery service via Seamless, highly recommended !
