Enjoyed being a part of the NY NOW trade show here. The staff were very friendly. Recommend bringing your own water and food if you're an exhibitor as concessions can get somewhat pricey.

The water fountains are sort of hidden, but there are actually a lot of them in Javits. Just walk toward the bathrooms and they'll be on the red-painted walls before you actually go into the bathroom.
Also, if you're going to sell your liver to eat there, make sure you try a gyro from the Greek joint in the basement. It's actually delicious. Still too pricey though!
Incredible architecture & site. Attended Fancy Food Convention, came home w/ 6 large bags of gourmet samples, donated another 6 bags to charity. Spent the whole day here, yet too big to see everything
If you go to the New York International Auto Show here don't forget about the North hall. Some of the cleanest and least used bathrooms in the whole convention center too. If you go Saturday go early!
for New York Comic Con tickets, keep an eye on their Twitter/Facebook pages to know when they go on sale. Typically its in Spring. Also if you work in a creative field, apply for a Pro pass its cheap!
The NY Waterway is also a convenient and quick way to get to the Javits Center from across the Hudson River, and only one block from the Javits Center.
Auto show was great. Big gripe with lack of outlets to recharge phones. So much hype about social media and then 3 charging stations for thousands of ppl.
Plenty of cool events and conventions here. Lots of construction surrounds the building, though, so be careful. Is now accessible by Subway. Mega and Bolt Bus stop right across the street.

Did you know? We have a CitiBike station directly outside Javits Center - at 34th St and 11th Ave. Grab a bike and go uptown, across town, or downtown!
If you need to take a cab outta here, try and do it as early as possible. 5pm is not the time for success. If you have to leave after 5, use ground link.
There are usually two Sabrett carts. For some reason, one can have a long line while 200 feet away, no line at all. Don't waste time waiting. Check the other!
Great bar up the street from Javits Center at ink48, a Kimpton hotel: The Press Lounge, located on the 16th floor w/killer views + cocktails... Read more
Try the Sabrett Hot Dogs - Better than your average street hot dog and pretty much the only thing I'd eat even if I wasn't hungry and stuck at NY Comic Con.
