Lindsay EyinkFebruary 28, 2014Still feels like the SF I moved to 10 years ago. Has food, beer, wifi no fancy decor, stoned surfers, and old hippies. Ocean Beach dunes across the way. There is always some guy playing music!

Beth S.January 19, 2012My only tip here is: GO! This is my fave coffee shop in the area to work, enjoy yummy food & drink or just hang and take a break out by the beach right across the street!
I love this place! They do a good coffee and a meaty chef's salad. The friendly staff are always happy to watch my valuables while I surf. Every ocean beach session starts at Java

Their BLT is the best - hands down - in the city. Also their chocolate chip cookies are phenomenal

Get the hot apple cider. Does the job type of coffee. Relax or work. Open late until 11pm

The candy apple cider is absolutely delicious! It literally taste like you're drinking a candy apple. Try it, and thank me later : )
