"The soup is clear, not overly flavourful nor is it abjectly bland. You eat here for honest hardworking no-nonsense prawn noodles. But it's hardly the 'best'."

"Maggi goreng not good. Although they use more powder (Maggi seasoning) and less of the merah sauce, the taste is still bland and the fire (wok hei) not strong enough. Try their naan and satay instead."

"Used to be awesome in early 2000s. Took me by surprise that my Mee goreng and Maggi goreng tasted like grime and misery. My last visit in 2013 wasn't great either. 2nd Jan 2015 will be my last visit."

"Salted egg yolk sotong, Ostrich with ginger and spring onion, 小白菜, 树仔菜, butter prawns (dry). Generous servings of vegetables, but sotong was a little tough. Butter prawn must order the wet type."

"Goreng Tuaran mee. Slightly more wet than the Tamparuli version, making the akaline taste from the egg noodles a little stronger. The style of cooking seems to use less MSG and salt, which I like."
