We found more than a soba place: a genuinely authentic Japanese restaurant covering the whole gamut from excellent appetizers over soba and sashimi to the best Japanese desserts we had in a long time.
Cute new soba spot in East Village. The noodles are fresh and the broth was clean. Come in a group of 4 to get one of the sweet private booths in the front.
Yakitori, agedashi tofu, hot soba with duck were all very good, but the atmosphere is quite sterile and lifeless. It's perfect for diners looking for quietude and privacy; very traditionally Japanese.
Overwhelming number of appetizers but once you make up your mind they're all really good! The soba is very well done and the portions are generous. p.s. They use real wasabi here!
Sashimi is awesome and fresh. Soba is good, I got the uni caviar one with black squid soba. Not super tasty as I thought. I’d try the go-something one with sesame next time. Green tea crepe cake nom!
Best soba in New York City! Everything is fresh, delicious and the ambiance is chill. They also make the famous RAIN DROP CAKE - you must try the magic ✨👍✨👌
Modern, simplistic decor. Enjoy an amazing Japanese fare over some jazz music on the speakers. The duck sobe is a must. The jimae tofu is a delicious build it yourself kit for those who enjoy tofu.
Interesting soba and sushi place. Odd that it's not specialized, but I can at least vouch for the soba being excellent. Curious about the sushi omakase counter in the back.
