Just arrived in Auckland !! Make sure you visit friendly team at the iSite information centre. Just on the left when you leave customs.
Long white cafe makes a great coffee to sip while you wait at the refurbished arrivals hall.
Don't arrive too early...actually yes do, 40 mins to check 3 people in yet a tour group of 30 started after & were finished before. Boarding at 5am but customs doesnt open til then. Absolute joke.

Use the SmartGate if you hold NZ passport. Available on departure and arriving.

Never use the Express Lane if you're an Aus/NZ passport holder... The Smart Gate is much faster.

There is a book shop, loos and power plugs at gates 15 and 16 but it is a long walk to them
Jane ChanDecember 2, 2012There're 2 McDonald's. One at Arrivals and the other bigger one on Departures level.- Best coffee is downstairs outside arrivals, retro espresso. Foodcourt cafes are major hit and miss!
The KFC at the upstairs food court doesn't take any vouchers/coupons and don't do most promotional items.

Still no free internet...... Just stand close to the business class launch to get onto theirs...
Try the Nutra blast smoothie from the Tank bar upstairs, it's full of banana oaty goodness.
- There is a Power point located on the wall between the two tv's next to burger king!
