Beautiful bistro with lots of plants inside the restaurant, food is tasty too. A great place to chill during afternoon.

Awesome selection of local beers coming from micro breweries. Super nice staff as well, very friendly. I highly recommend LAVA beer. If you like tasty and smokey beers.
The British newspaper Guardian said them to be the best hot dog stand in Europe! The queue can be long, but its definitely worth it. Order like a local and get one with everything. Read more.
The view, atmosphere and experience is surreal. The massages are definitely worth every penny. No where else can you get a water massage while floating in hot springs and staring at the sky.
Enjoy a fancy lunch at the visitor center bistro. They source all ingredients locally! (and the dining room is gorgeous.)

Very cool black sand beach. It can get very windy at times. The waves are huge and can sneak up on you !!
Great bookstore chain. They all have Te Og Kaffi places inside so you can sit down and have a great coffee/tea drink. Free wifi and fun books/magazines to browse.
A really cute hole in the wall ramen place. Great for lunch. The service is always friendly and as far as I know this is the only place in Reykjavík that serves dumplings
Very cosy local place, the most popular are burgers and sandwiches. Mushroom soup is great!
