In Buddhism, Hungry Ghosts are beings w/ an insatiable hunger & a tiny mouth, making them never satisfied & obsessed w/ consumption. Marinate on that while you consider the delicious pastries here ;-)
Great for a quick stop. No wifi so it's not as crowded with people on their 💻which is good if you just want to read or chill. Coffee and pastries are great, they have the non-massive 🍩s from Dough!
banana bread with flax seed from ovenly is life changing. on weekends, it's a hot spot in neighborhood and can be tough to get a seat, so go early and be mindful
Tasty pastries, nice staff, good enough coffee. No WIFI though, and not enough seats. It's close to being amazing, but more like cool looking in toward amazing.
Absurdly overpriced but conveniently located. Coffee and an egg sandwich will run you $10-$12. Clean and warm and good for convo if you can get a seat.
Arguably the best coffee in the hood -- their baristas actually know how to pull an espresso shot. My standby, though, is a Stumptown cold brew with a cacao nib or hibiscusdonut from Dough. Perfect!
When your only option for "real" coffee is trendy without substance, I guess you can't help but be disappointed. Looks great, coffee is ok, service is mediocre.
