One of our favorite new places to grab a beer with friends and watch sports on the giant projectors. Liters of beer are only around $15, which is a pretty great deal if you ask us.
Very good beer hall in the village (we don't have that many). Great space and atmosphere and a decent selection of beer. Get one of the milktruckgrilled cheeses to go with your drink.
Pretty pricey @ other times since there may be a cover. Best time is afterwork...HH Mon- Thurs 5-7pm: $5 wine + $6 pints of beer. Great grilled cheese + other small bites of food in ~5000 sf-space!
Excellent venue for hazing! Assemble a crew of douchetastic fellows, order 3 liters of beer each, chug 2 of them & pour the third over the unsuspecting hazee. The staff will not interrupt the revelry.
This is the place you come to when you feel like having a couple of cocktails and talking to the overabundance of business gals that need a break from wall street. Looks like I got a new favorite bar.
HUGE BEER HALL very fun place drinks are kinda expensive here. Recommend making a reservation before you go so you can have a table to sit at and eat. Very fun I would go again
The folks behind Heartland Brewery took the beer hall model and made it uniquely American with an East-meets-West food menu and a lineup of exclusive beers brewed at Greenpoint Beer Works in Brooklyn.
Beers brewed in Greenpoint just for them. (It’s glorious.) Pilsners. Chocolatyporters. A wheat beer called Marco’s Wit that’ll pair perfectly with warmer weather (blood orange is involved).
Cool indoor beer garden, great for the cold weather months. The place is huge. Beer comes in three sizes. Grilled Cheese isn't too bad as will. Highly recommend going, during the week is best.
Did you know that this place used to be a car garage? Now it's a giant place to drink! Great to go with friends, very chill and a good place to just hang and kick back with a few beers.
Beer and pretzel were good. Great big beerhall-like setting. Big downfall on a Saturday afternoon were the groups of frat-like 20 somethings -- rowdy to say the least!
Best place in the West Village to watch a big sports game. Massive projectors pull down from the ceiling and the huge space never feels too crowded or rowdy.
This is the second time I've been back to this place and it did surprise me. Good music, good beer and lots fun. It gets quietnoisy and but over all I had a great time.
This place has been a favorite for wedding after parties, concerts and other events. Come for the beer, stay for the fancy bacon-cheddar-blue grilled cheese. Read more
This is an amazing place to hang with group friends due to the large space throughout the old-style building. The beer are all made especially for Houston Hall!
This former garage is now an enormous beer hall, filled with groups of friends, a great variety of beer (obviously), and amazing grilled cheese choices!
Awesome space. Came on a Saturday night there was a 5$ cover. It was crowded but not packed. Variety of beer selection but also stocked w full bar. Good DJ.
Fantastic beer selection. Expansive space. Do yourself a favor and come here and make some bad decisions. Just please don't tell your next convenient friend to have their birthday here.
a grandiose, old-school bar/warehouse. while beer and communal tables cover the ground, the crowd is not your laid-back biergarden type, but more so the corporate juggling yuppie.
For a $5 cover charge you get really great music, amazing vibe, and the opportunity to get pints of beer the size of Disney World chicken wings. (Seriously, what's with that?)
Delicious grilled cheese sandwiches to go with a great selection of beer, but unless you come at off hours or book a table in advance, its a crowded mess
Be transported to a Munich style bier hall with an industrial feel. Prompt table service, craft beers and salty snacks are the thing here. Good for big groups too.
New. Ales & Lagers. Wings & Beer. Brewed in Greenpoint. "Monstrous-ginormous" projector to watch sports. Menu (Treat your self - http://goo.gl/BziUe) Read more
This huge beer hall was once a garage, but the converted space now serves grilled cheese, wings, and craft beer to day drinkers and after-work partiers.
Large and loud. Great beer selection. I imagine it's ideal for a big party but watch out for large herds of sales bro's if, you know, that's not your thing.
came here on a Saturday afternoon and waited 20 min at the bar for a beer, definitely get a table so you have a waiter/waitress to avoid the craziness at the bar
