Definitely a tourist trap, but you may as well get the full Hollywood experience. Shopping, giant Egyptian archways and elephant statues, Star walk and Dolby Theater.

via LA Mag: A great base camp for spending a day in Hollywood. The validated parking is a deal ($3 for 2 hrs), and the restaurants are a refuge. And you can take the subway here--fancy that!

Check out the Dolby theatre, upscale bowling alley Lucky Strike and the sidewalk is the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame! Plenty of choices of stores and places to eat when being a tourist for the day.

If you're going to the Hollywood Bowl, the Orange Court is on the second floor of the mall, by the Starline tour bus office. The buses are at the end of the lot.

Park on the 2nd level...so much more parking...If you're a local I would avoid this place Fri-Sun...it just madness with the tourist and club kids (18 and over club)

Do not attempt to go up the secret stairs to the secre!t rooftop pool. The security guards have they tasers set on stun and always aim for the scrotum!

You don't have to buy anything to get validation simply drop by the Information Booth on Hollywood Blvd. by the MAC store. They validate for everyone!
