The house that was Handel's home between 1723 and his death in 1759 is now a museum devoted to the composer's life. Weekly late opening is until 8pm on Thursdays, with concerts from 6.30 to 7.30pm. Read more
A great small museum focusing on its 2 famous inhabitants across a wall and 200 years. Nicely done and about to be closed from September 2021 for a major renovation until 2023.
Handel lived at no.25 between 1723 and his death in 1756, and composed his Messiah and Zadok the Priest among many other works here. The interior is now a faithful recreation from this period.
Seemingly removed from the modern world, Handel House offers much to soothe and inspire for lovers of Georgian architecture, interiors and portrait painting. Read more
