The centre, which opened on June 5th 2001 by Queen Elizabeth II, sits on the South bank of the River Clyde. It is composed of three principal buildings; Science Mall, IMAX cinema & Glasgow Tower.
Good value and entertaining for kids and adults alike! The area by the river is also a great spot for photographers with this, the BBC building, Hydro and Clyde Arc all nearby.
Looking for something for little kids (and big kids?) Great indoor option on a rainy day with so many interactive elements for everyone to get involved with. Lovely walk along the river also.
What make this place so special is that the science is so simplified that makes it fun to explore. Additionally, the staff are so friendly so welcoming and very helpful. IMAX and Shows are great
Little kids (and big kids) all love this place. Great indoor option on a rainy day with so many interactive elements for everyone to get involved with. Lovely walk along the river also.
This is one of the best Glasgow attractions to take the kids. Explore the three buildings (IMAX Cinema, Science Mall, Glasgow Tower) to learn about science and technology the fun and exciting way.
Rediscover the joys and curiosities of science in this amazing science centre. Visit the IMAX, the Science Theatre, and the observation tower and learn all the way!
The Center consists of an egg-shaped titanium-covered IMAX theatre and an interactive Science Mall with floor-to-ceiling windows – a bounty of discovery for young, inquisitive minds.
Check out the planetarium, where the Scottish Power Space Theatre brings the night sky to life and a Virtual Science Theatre takes you on a 3-D molecular journey.
My three year old love it here - and very accessible - particularly if you find the huge lift just behind the ticket desk rather than the tiny other lift
Don't bother taking your kids on a Sunday to IMAX they don't bother opening the concession shop but still charge you full rate, plus is run by council so is why it sucks.
