From an Italian: the best pasta I had in nyc. Better than many other Italian restaurants that are more expensive than Giano. Try rigatoni all'amatriciana and rigatoni with ragútrufflecheese
neighborhood spot. Food is amazing. Atmosphere is great, owner is classic italian guy, so friendly&makes you feel at home immediately. Get spaghetti pommodoro,MEATBALLS, chicken milanese, tiramisu.
friendly, noisy Italian where you meet the owners. Tagliolini w black truffle & Bottarga, Salmon w sambuca, tarragon. photos at: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=140283&id=765634189&l=1d8fea56ee
Squid ink risotto - looks big but tastes so compelling u'll inhale it. Orange soy glazed pork was really tender and delicious too. For a light-ish dessert, go for the chocolatenapoleon.
Not revisiting. Fried calamari, spaghetti dish and the filet mignon were all way too salty. The option 3 dessert called the "chef's interpretation" needs major reinterpretting because it was awful.
