You can never go wrong with Brat and Beer. And the outdoor atmosphere is super chill. The umbrellas are huge, so even if it's raining, chances are you'll still be able to sit outside.
Excellent pulled pork, good sides, nice rotating beer selection with acceptable prices for the neighborhood...but many, many times it is impossible to find a seat here. I recommend sunday boozing.

Every day feels like Oktoberfest at everyone's favorite beer garden. The fence-enclosed picnic tables on 14th Street NW are some of the most prized seats in the city.
While the atmosphere and beer selection is refreshing, the pork sandwich lacks a smoke flavor, even with the slaw topping. The brisket is the better sandwich, give that a try.
Whenever I'm in the mood to pretend I'm back in Germany, I head here for an authentic German beer (in a stein of course!). Closest thing in DC to a European beer garden.
