ENO is the place to see developing British singers and to be exposed to some experimental directors. Cheaper day tickets frequently available on the TKTS booth in Leicester Square.- The spiritus classicus home of the English National Opera. Incredible architecture, home to 2016's acclaimed London revival of Sunset Boulevard.
Sometimes excellent, always worth going, cheaper and more innovative than the Royal Opera House.

The opera can be hit and miss.. But the recent production of Porgy and Bess was excellent.

But the opera (Lady Macbeth of …) was pretty boring.
BEWARE! ENO needlessly contributes to food waste. Was required to dispose of closed package of crackers because they don’t allow outside food. Skip the ENO if headed home after w/ groceries in hand.
The only bar I've been to in London with NO TEA. You have been warned!
Try and get seats in the dress circle, numbers 28 + 29 as they are very central
