Yes, the red velvet here is amazing as noted in all the reviews. Another hidden gem is the Hummingbird cake. All their lunch and brunch dishes are amazing, are big portions, and well presented. 10/10!

Good breakfast spot and by god, get a red velvet cupcake. It's on Oprah's list of things to do before you die by a vicious shark attack. Ok, maybe not the exact name of her list - but she digs em!

If you're here before noon (even on the weekends), you're in the clear - which actually surprised me because the food is great and it's in a prime location. Good luck finding quick and free parking.

Their picnic basket special of sandwich (MUFFALETTA!), salad, baguette+spreads (Tapenade!), and dessert (RED VELVET!) is a clutch take out pre-Hollywood Bowl pick.

Happy hours from 4 to 7 when you can buy beer for only 2 dollars. Also if you like pasta and meat I would suggest "beefy mac & cheese" - huge bowl and incredibly tasty!

Southern Corn Pudding is the BEST corn bread I have ever had- even better than anything I've ever tasted south of the mason Dixon line!!! Nailed it. On to the red velvet oprah's best cake!

It’s the best place for breakfast or brunch – It can get busy, so be prepared to wait for a table or just get your order to go. Don’t miss the red velvet cake. - Tamara, Online Brand Manager

Portion size is always larger then I want and I tend to get sick of whatever I ordered before I've finished it. I recommend ordering to share.

If it's your first time here, you have to order the Afterschool Special. It's their signature meal - monster grilled cheese sandwich with a hot bowl of sweet tomato soup. Amazing. The pulled pork sand

This newly reopened spot is just as good as it ever was. The velvet chocolate cake is pretty darn good, as are all their sandwiches and soups. It's also right next door to El Carmen (tequila!). Read more
