Wifi is now free in the rooms and it was faster than expected. Stayed here several times and customer service always phenomenal. Cheaper than hotels on property but right across the street from parks.
1.) Make sure your room key is activated for the parking gates. 2.) Make sure your room is the view and bedding-type you requested, when reserved. 3.) Starbucks, off the main lobby, closes early.
The room was clean, you get free cookies, and there is free wifi & a Starbucks in the lobby. On top of that, it's right across from Universal Studios. The only negative is the $12/day parking charge.
Rooms are a little musky, no fans in the bathrooms either. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, wifii was free, and overall a great value. Be warned: $12 parking per day
Great location. Very close to universal and TGI Friday’s if you want to eat, there is also a Walgreens near by. There is a fee of $23 per night for parking, should be cheaper if you are pass holder
Front Deskman Bob Rocks! 15 something minute walk to city walk. Ale house & starbucks by the hotelHotelparking is not free sadly you can park in best western beside the doubletree.
I stay here because it’s in walking distance of the park, and I don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to stay on the property. However every time I stay here, there is always a discrepancy.
View over Universal Studios is nice... can see Hogwarts Castle at sunset. But the foreground is the Universal parkingstructure. Just have realistic expectations.
This DoubleTree is one of Universal Orlando's Partner Hotels within walking distance to the parks. Learn more at OrlandoInformer.com by clicking the "more info" link. Read more
Pros - very close to universal/city walk. Nice views outside Windows. Cons - 17 dollar parking with broken parking gates. Funky old towel smell in room.
Hotel has a great location, but parking is a pain. Don't pay $20 to valet. No lounge for elite members. Internet is so slow, unless you pay $10 a day. Starbucks is always closed. Breakfast was good.
Make sure you check with hotel first before booking on priceline! You might not get the room you paid for. But manager Andrew Gumula made it right :)))
Good: Cookies & can walk to Universal. Bad:$9 to park/day and parking gates did not work at ALL, room keys didn't work 1/2 the time, nothing stayed in outlets, A/C sucked, room service took forever
Buyers beware!!! Worst customer service here! Concierge is uninformative and unhelpful. They slapped us with hidden charges at the end of our stay - then blamed it on hotel.com!
Conveniently located, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando, is walking distance from the Universal Orlando's two great theme parks, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida...
