Everything is amazing—food, staff, ambiance. The garlic french roll is perfectly soft (like ciabatta) but doesn’t fall apart at all. Love the pepperoncini blend (it’s genius)! Portions are massive.Go!

The big, honking sandwiches at this five-year-old spot in SoMa come with the East Coast lineage of owner Adam Mesnick. You'll find a slew the original creations and end up saving half for later. Read more

The Fatty Matty is great! Bread is warm and soft, but crispy on the edges. Ratio of fillings is just right. Combination of ingredients is unique. And the pickles are perfectly crisp and tart.

Ruby Claire was pretty great. Corned beef, Romanian pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and 1000 Island served on a warm French roll. I'm full but the fat kid inside me wants another.

one of the best sandwich in SF! their dutch cruch & french rolls are really good. Boca, Kevin(with chicken salad), gold-n-berge-n-stein♡but with the tomato bisque from soup company, zeke is perfect!

The Mezman (romanian pastrami, deviled egg salad, muenster cheese, garlic dutch crunch, etc.) is maybe the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had. Also, you read that right: pastrami and egg salad.

The Mezman sandwich was pretty damn good (pastrami, deviled egg salad, muenster, cherry peppers, pickles, Board sauce, and on that amazing garlic dutch crunch bread), but sammies are hella expensive.

Best sandos in SF but you will pay out the wazoo for the pleasure. The hot sauces are also bomb!

Haven't had a bad sandwich yet, but pay attention to the specials—they're often made with ingredients not found on any other item, and are truly "special."

Be prepared to wait a bit. Incredible pastrami, also a fan of the Tenenbaum on Dutch Crunch. Board sauce is phenomenal with their house fries.

Don't forget, you can always mix-and-match meats (e.g. brisket + pastrami, or brisket + pastrami + salami). They'll proportion the sandwich correctly so it's just the right amount of overwhelming.

Don't fret about deciding amongst the huge selection. Make sure yours has pastrami + brisket + pepperoncini spread + some sort of cheese. You can't go wrong. If they have the JT, you have to get it.

Everything is delicious but what's special about Deli Board are the Romanian pastrami and corned beef from Cleveland. Get a sando with either -- or both! -- and you'll be richly rewarded.

I had the pastrami sandwich. Very good. Sad that they don't have rye bread though for it. It would have been perfect.

This SoMa deli doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to heaping finely-crafted meats onto its pillow rolls. The menu changes daily, but it always includes Romanian pastrami. Read more

You're going to question why you're paying $15+ for a sandwich, but no matter what you choose, it's money well spent. The Kuip and the Ron are my current favorites, but menu changes frequently.

Sandwiches filled to the max with meaty goodness. The Fatty Matty with albacore tuna salad, felafel and other goodies is very tasty. Their XXX Buffalo Sauce is no joke spice wise.
